Breaking the Myths About the Hispanic Market
In this interview, I had the opportunity to share insights on a topic I’m deeply passionate about: correcting the myths and misconceptions about the Latino community.
I spoke about how Latinos contribute over $2.13 trillion to the U.S. GDP — a figure so significant that if we were a stand-alone economy, we’d rank as the 7th largest in the world. I also clarified that 73% of Hispanics in the U.S. are citizens, countering harmful narratives that continue to dominate the media.
As the founder of Ask The Latina, a mentorship app that promotes more Latinas in STEM fields, and someone who has worked across corporate and community spaces, I believe the media has a responsibility to educate with facts, not fuel fear. Latinos aren’t a niche market — we are a powerful economic and cultural force.
